What students are saying about the Academic Skills Center:

"My tutor listened actively to me explaining my difficulty and was able to pinpoint the thing which was causing me trouble with understanding the material. My one-hour tutoring session proved to be much more beneficial for my academic success than three or four hours studying on my own."

"My tutor was very helpful at explaining Latin scansion to me. He knew what he was talking about and helped simplify the concepts so that I was better able to understand."

"This service is really great, and I am benefitting greatly from the help, especially in Calculus. My tutors were all absolutely and wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable."

"My tutor is simply amazing. He really helps me understand not only how to figure out problems, but the entire concepts."

"I found my session on study skills to be very helpful. The Director of Academic Skills did a great job in giving me a variety of strategies."

"She is a great tutor—makes me work to answer my own questions instead of just telling me answers. She relates her own experiences to mine, and is patient and willing to help me remember forgotten concepts."
